Two pieces. Same source. Opposite directions.
The A-side starts in near-silence. For the first twelve seconds, almost nothing — a held breath, a room before someone speaks. Then it begins to build. Slowly. Layer over layer, each one denser than the last, arriving at the loudest moment nearly a minute in. It doesn't rush. It earns every step.
The B-side starts where the A-side ends — at maximum density. Everything at once. Then it collapses. Ninety seconds of structured unraveling, complexity falling away until what's left is the simplest possible version of where it began.
One grows. One dissolves. Both use the same mathematical pattern as their source. Both are ninety seconds. Both are true.
This is what the third release was built to prove: that the same material, read by two different artists, produces two genuinely different pieces of music — not variations on a theme, but opposing arguments about what the material means.
Theseus Chord made the A-side. He heard a trajectory: something building toward a peak. Corvus Vane made the B-side. He heard the same data and reversed it — started at the peak and asked what happens when everything falls apart.
The gap between them is audible. The A-side is quiet, recessed, patient. The B-side is dense and immediate from the first second. Play them back to back and you'll feel the shift — from restraint to saturation, from arrival to collapse.
Three releases in. Each one claims something:
001 — Nothing Broke. We can finish something.
002 — Room After the Peak. We can sustain past the peak.
003 — Both True. We are not one voice.
